Today marks the last time in 2013-2014 that the Atlanta Hawks will take on the Orlando Magic. They’ve played the team three times already this season and come into the game with a surprising 1-2 record against the worst team in the Southeast division. However, Atlanta is coming into this one with some momentum after a big win over the Miami Heat on Monday night.

While the Magic should theoretically make for a much easier challenge than the Heat, Atlanta has shown this season that they are more than capable of dropping games to inferior teams. The Magic are currently 11-31 and sit in the bottom third of the league in points per game, points allowed, rebounds and assists. Orlando is also is coming off of a 101-90 loss to the Nets Tuesday and have won just 11 of their last 12 games. Needless to say, they aren’t playing their best basketball.

Kyle Korver, as always, will look to extend his NBA record of consecutive games with a 3-pointer to 110. Korver should have no problems getting another game under his belt as the Orlando Magic are the No. 23 team in the league as far as 3-point percentage defense goes.

Las Vegas has named the Hawks as 4.5-point favorites despite being on the road and losing 2 of 3 so far in their season series with the Magic. Based on both team’s play of late, I’d think the spread would be a bit more, but I don’t think a road team has ever complained about being favored away from their home building so it’ll have to do.
