The Atlanta Hawks (25-23) are coming off of a 105-100 loss in New Orleans and are taking on a Memphis Grizzlies team (26-22) who are coming off of a loss of their own. They went up against the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday and fell 110-96.

This one should be a pretty good game for the Hawks. The Grizzlies are right around the Hawks’ level, but they succeed because of their stiffling defense, as opposed to the Hawks electic offense. Memphis is third in the leage in points allowed, as they let up just 95.3 points per game. They struggle with the ball on offense however, scoring just 95.5 points per game.

The Hawks are similar, but in the opposite way. They score alot (102.7 points per game), but also let up a lot of points (101.3). During these two teams’ first match up back on January 12, the Grizzlies beat Atlanta 108-101. However, that game was in Memphis, and the Hawks will have the home-court advantage in this one, where they are 16-8.

It’s going to be a real challenge for the Hawks on the glass, as they are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, and the Grizzlies have Mark Gasol and Zach Randolph working down low. Randolph is actually coming off of a huge game against the Mavs. f He scored 25 points and hauled in 9 boards. It’s going to be a tough match up for Paul Millsap, who’s coming off of a nice game of his own, scoring 26 points and picking up 10 rebounds against the Pelicans.

Vegas has the Hawks as 1.5-point favorites in this one, which really shows how evenly matched these two teams are.
