The Atlanta Hawks (25-24) are having a bit of a poor stretch of late, and come into this game against the Chicago Bulls (25-25) looking to stay above .500. The Hawks are coming off of a 79-76 loss at home to the Memphis Grizzlies, and are also trying to put a three-game losing streak to bed.

Meanwhile, the Bulls are headed into this with relatively no momentum (if you even believe in momentum) winning half of their last eight games. Chicago is coming off of a 92-86 win over the Lakers Sunday, where Joakim Noah led the team in points (20) and rebounds (13). Shooting guard Kirk Hinrich and power forward Taj Gibson each played a significant role as well, adding 17 and 18 points respectively.

Overall, Chicago is one of the better defensive teams in the NBA and they allow the second-fewest points per game (just 92.8). They are also in the top third of the league in rebounds per game, with 44.6.

Fortunately for Atlanta, Chicago is also one of the worst NBA offenses in the league this year, scoring just 92.1 points per game. Their defense is really the only thing keeping them afloat, and if the Hawks can manage to score at the high rates they have become used to, they should be able to come away with a much-needed win.

Vegas has the Hawks as 2-point underdogs in this one which is pretty fair given Chicago’s home-court advantage and the teams’ similar records.
