Snow, Shmow. Georgia Tech’s starting Valentine’s Day off exactly how it was meant to be–with true love.
Yep, that’s right, baseball season is upon us and while the Georgia Bulldogs are going to be getting underway tomorrow, the Yellow Jackets are plowing through snowmaggedon, and kicking off the Battle in Midtown Tournament at 3 p.m. against Old Dominion.
The other two teams in the tournament are VCU and Radford.
Each team will play each other once throughout this round-robin tournament and we’ll get an idea of how good this year’s Georgia Tech baseball team really is. We had planned on putting together our own preview of the Georgia Tech (and Georgia) baseball team before this tournament got underway but real life struck hard and quick.
Regardless, we’re going to have recaps of each of Georgia Tech’s games throughout this tournament and we’ll also give you a rundown of the entire thing once play is over on Sunday. Check below for Georgia Tech’s full tourney schedule and probable pitchers:
- Game 1 vs. Old Dominion (Friday, 3 p.m.) – LHP Jonathan King (GT) vs. LHP Ryan Yarbrough (ODU)
- Game 2 vs. Radford (Saturday, 4 p.m.) – RHP Cole Pitts (GT) vs. RHP Dylan Nelson (RU)
- Game 3 vs. VCU (Friday, 2 p.m.) – RHP Josh Heddinger (GT) vs. LHP JoJo Howie (VCU)
