Update: Mark Bowman reports that Beachy experienced “discomfort” but isn’t concerned, while Jon Morosi of Fox Sports indicates that Beachy “tried” to ramp up velocity when the discomfort hit.
Beachy said he's not concerned about the elbow inflammation that limited him today. He said the discomfort is different than last year

I asked Beachy if there would be a point in spring training when he tried to ramp up velocity again. "I tried," he said.

Kris Medlen has been dominating the headlines in “Braves Country”, but the team is on the field on Monday afternoon with a match-up against the Philadelphia Phillies, and there is potential trouble brewing.
Beachy exited after two innings today. he was scheduled for four innings. Will update when we learn why he exited.

Brandon Beachy left his start after just 2 innings against Philly, and as noted above by MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, he was scheduled to pitch 4 innings in this particular outing. Less than a week ago, Beachy threw 3 scoreless innings in a start (also against the Phillies), and this early exit is quite disturbing, even if there was no visible sign of injury.
There will likely be an update on Beachy, possibly before the game even ends, and we will bring that information to you in real-time. Until then, however, it is time to pray that Beachy hasn’t been seriously injured, as he would be heavily relied on in the event that Medlen has a more serious ailment that will cause him to miss additional time.
Lastly, let’s hope this isn’t the case:
First Medlen, now Beachy? Season is over

Thanks to Talking Chop’s Scott Coleman for this bit of reality (I know you’re kidding, Scott).
