Earlier in the day on Tuesday, we brought a full-length preview of the festivities that were set to take place between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night, but unfortunately, the game has been officially postponed due to inclement weather.
Tonight's 7:05 p.m. Phillies vs. Braves game has been postponed due to inclement weather. The makeup date is TBA & will be announced ASAP.

During the afternoon, Kevin McAlpin of the Atlanta Braves Radio Network brought this report about the weather in Philadelphia.
#Braves at #Phillies still on as scheduled. Weather says 95% chance of rain/snow til 11pm with a low of 30 and wind gusts up to 45mph

Later, things apparently worsened.
Holy storm. It's getting nasty here in South Philly. #Braves

And with that (and approximately 35 minutes later), the game was formally postponed. It seems silly to attempt to play a game that would have clearly been hampered throughout by weather, and the fact that we are so early in the season undoubtedly made the decision an easy one.
Shortly after the postponement, David O’Brien of the AJC indicated that no double-header would take place this week:
#Braves and #Phillies will play single games next two days, make up this game later in one of next 2 trips to Philly

The series is scheduled to continue on Wednesday night at 7:05, and when we know more about pitching probables, etc., we will bring that information to you.
