It is no secret that the Atlanta Falcons have a top-10 pick in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft, and this week, the due diligence of Thomas Dimitroff and his staff is reportedly set to ramp up in a significant. According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Falcons are set to host five big name players in Atlanta over the next two days.

Frankly, no one on the list of five is particularly surprising, as four of the players (Robinson, Mack, Clowney and Matthews) are consensus top-10 selections, and Anthony Barr has been previously tied to Atlanta throughout the process. There was a report last week that the Falcons had gone to Auburn to visit Robinson, who is the top offensive lineman available, and Jadeveon Clowney is well-known in this space for being a favorite of ATL All Day.

To be clear, the Falcons almost can’t go wrong with their #6 pick (provided they can in place) and the only player discussed here that would be a wild overpayment is Barr. Even still, the jury is firmly split on him as a player with all kinds of natural ability, but one who doesn’t necessarily play tough or attack like a seasoned defender (Barr played some offense at UCLA) would be expected to in the NFL.

There is still a great deal of time between now and the Draft, but at a minimum, the Falcons are weighing several options.
