The Atlanta Hawks held the first non-lottery draft pick with the 15th selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, and if you paid attention to the twittersphere, it’s safe to assume the Hawks nailed the selection, as there were some happy, happy Hawks fans after the fact.

The Hawks also picked up a few new fans by selecting the Michigan State power forward.

And, of course, there were those who weren’t so happy with the pick, but they were few and far between.

But, when it was all said and done, the Hawks fan base seems to like the selection, and that’s something we aren’t used to seeing.
