Atlanta Falcons at Houston Texans preview: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream, Point Spread and More
By Brad Rowland
The Atlanta Falcons are 1-0 in the preseason (whatever that means) after a home win over the Miami Dolphins last week, and in week two, the team travels to Texas to meet the Houston Texans on Saturday evening. Houston, who was battered by a 32-0 score in their opener in Arizona, is a team in transition much like Atlanta, and this should be an intriguing match-up.
Atlanta’s offensive line (namely, Jake Matthews and Sam Baker) against Houston’s defensive line (namely, J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney) represents the “match-up to watch” for the night, but it will be interesting to see how long the starters play on both sides of the ball. The status of Julio Jones is still up in the air at the time of this post, but at least one report indicates that he could suit up for the game.
For the degenerates among us (and I’m sure you’re out there), Las Vegas has installed the Falcons as 3-point underdogs in the game. Do what you will with that in this setting.
To drive the point home (again), this is still preseason, and while we will likely see more of the starters in week two, be careful about making wholesale assumptions. Hit us up in the comments below and stay tuned for post-game analysis, including a full recap shortly after the game.
