Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons preview: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream, Point Spread and More
By Brad Rowland
After a disappointing, blow-out loss in week two of the preseason, the Atlanta Falcons are back on the field on Saturday evening, as they host the Tennessee Titans. The loss of Sam Baker, and subsequent shifting of Jake Matthews to the left side, has served as the main story line of the week, and this is likely to be the first opportunity to observe the first round pick in his “new” element, especially along with the first team offense theoretically operating on all cylinders.
Defensively, it will be interesting to see how the Falcons handle Jake Locker and company after some embarrassing moments in Houston. There are a few position battles still being waged, and coaches on both sides of the ball will certainly have vested interest in evaluating individuals throughout the evening.
For the degenerates among us (and I’m sure you’re out there), Las Vegas has installed the Falcons as 3-point favorites in the game. Do what you will with that in this setting, but again, this is preseason football.
The general wisdom has always been that the third preseason game serves as the “dress rehearsal” and every indication has been given on the Falcons side that they intend to play their starters through the entire first half and into the second. While that certainly provides the best product we’ve seen on the field thus far (hurray!), it is always important to show perspective, and that is what we will attempt to do here.
Here is a look at the particulars for Saturday night:
