The Atlanta Falcons suffered two injuries late in the first half of the Week 1 tilt against the New Orleans Saints, and each could be costly. Both wide receiver Roddy White and offensive tackle Jake Matthews suffered leg injuries during the team’s final drive of the first half, as White sustained a knee issue and Matthews went down with an ankle problem.

Jay Adams of the Atlanta Falcons indicates that the team has listed both players as “questionable” to return following the half, but White was seen jogging around with a helmet in advance of the third quarter. Stay tuned, but the loss ofeitherplayer would be significant, especially in the case of Matthews given the dearth of talent behind him at left tackle. It’s time for prayer.
