The Atlanta Falcons have a quick turnaround after their blowout loss in Cincinnati on Sunday, and if Tuesday afternoon is any indication, they could be without one of their few dynamic play-makers when the team takes the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Long-time standout wide receiver Roddy White was absent from practice on Tuesday, and as such, his status is still up in the air for a Thursday evening kick-off.

Many pundits were quick to point out that White is usually “off” on Tuesdays, but Jeanna Thomas of the Falcoholic makes an important distinction:
On a normal week, Tuesday is a day off for Roddy White. This is not a normal week, so I don't know what to make of him not practicing.

Because of the Thursday night dynamic, it is somewhat unsettling to see the 32-year-old White on the sidelines, especially given his recent track record of injury. In addition, White has produced just 10 catches for 114 total yards through the first two weeks, and “burst” has not been a term used to describe his abilities on the field during the small sample size of the 2014 campaign.
Stay tuned throughout the week for updates, but the Atlanta Falcons could have an uphill climb if White can’t go.
