William Moore out for eight weeks with shoulder injury

Just after the Atlanta Falcons announced season-ending injuries to offensive linemen Joe Hawley and Lamar Holmes, the team hit fans with another blow–safety William Moore will be out at least eight weeks thanks to a shoulder injury:
The Falcons will place S William Moore (shoulder) on IR designated to return.

This is a bit less daunting than the season-ending injuries to Hawley and Holmes, but it’s still a tough pill to swallow as the Falcons secondary will have to take on New York, Chicago, Detroit and Carolina (among others) with not only a battered line, but a shallow secondary.
For William Moore, he can return to the practice field in six weeks and come off of IR in eight weeks.

In four games with the Falcons, Moore ranks seventh in total tackles (16) and has one forced fumble. This season will mark the first time in five years that Moore won’t play at least 12 games with the team.
To replace Moore’s spot on the depth chart, the Falcons announced that they were promoting safety Sean Baker up from the team’s practice squad, along with offensive lineman Harland Gunn. In the wake of those moves, the team signed two players who were cut during preseason:
#Falcons sign S Kimario McFadden and G Adam Replogle to practice squad. They were released by ATL in final preseason cuts.
