Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Miami Hurricanes: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream and More
By Brad Rowland
After an “open date” last Saturday, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are back in action this week, and in no uncertain terms, Saturday night’s match-up is the most important of the 2014 season to this point. The Miami Hurricanes sit at just 3-2 on the season, but they enter on the heels of an impressive win over previously undefeated Duke, and the program still presents a great deal of cache wherever they go. In addition, this game is set to be played under the lights at Bobby Dodd Stadium, and with a national television audience at the ready, the intensity level is ratcheted up to a point where Georgia Tech football has rarely reached in the last handful of seasons.
Despite the fact that Georgia Tech possesses a spotless 4-0 record this season, the Yellow Jackets are only receiving moderate respect from the “experts” (i.e. the bookmakers) in this spot, as Paul Johnson’s club currently stands as somewhere around a 2-point underdog in most places, with a couple of outlets varying slightly. It should not come as a shock that Tech is having trouble garnering national respect, but in their home building, it is also slightly jarring to see the Jackets as less than a field goal favorite against a team with two losses.. In our full preview from Thursday afternoon, our own Carlos Collazo touched on this game with a deep dive, but to say that this is an important game for the Tech defense would be an understatement, and it would certainly help if the Jackets could run the ball effectively to win the battle in time of possession.
Stay tuned to this thread throughout the afternoon, and feel free to blast off in the comments before, during, and after the game. Here are the particulars for the match-up:
