Another player dismissed from Georgia football team
It’s been a bit of a rough year for the Georgia Bulldogs in terms of players being removed from the team. The most recent to be dismissed is true freshman defensive back Shaquille Jones, who was recently arrested for shoplifting. Anthony Dasher, the managing editor for UGASports.com, tweeted about the incident last night:
As far as production on the field goes, this shouldn’t be too much of a blow to the Bulldogs. Jones only appeared in the third game of the season against Troy.
Here is what coach Mark Richt said about the incident, as a part of a release from the football team’s website:
"“We have certain expectations and standards that we require of all our players,” Richt said. “When those expectations and standards are not met, the opportunity to be a part of our program is sacrificed.”"
