The national microscope has descended upon the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this week, as Paul Johnson and company sit atop the ACC Coastal division on the strength of a 5-0 record after an impressive win over Miami a week ago. However, the Jackets have had little time to breathe and enjoy their new-found success, as the Duke Blue Devils arrive at Bobby Dodd Stadium with every attention to dethrone the Jackets in favor of a bounce-back victory after they suffered a loss last week.
At this point, Georgia Tech appears to be a 3-point favorite at the majority of venues, and if that kind of thing intrigues you, the general wisdom would be that the “experts” view the two teams fairly evenly, with the Jackets receiving a three-point bump by virtue of their status as the home team in this match-up. In our full preview from Thursday afternoon, our own Carlos Collazo broke down this game in greater detail, but even in the aftermath of a dominant offensive performance, there are real questions about the Georgia Tech defense that could be answered on Saturday, and the offense cannot afford to take a step back in a game where ball control could be paramount.
