Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks Preview: Quick turnaround

After taking down the New York Knicks Saturday night, the Atlanta Hawks will look to sweep the New York club in their home-and-home series and take the first game on the road in the process.

In addition to picking up their first road victory, a win against Derek Fisher‘s squad would hand them their fifth straight loss as they continue a terrible start to the season.

In the first matchup between these two teams, the Hawks shot better from the 3-point line (40.9 percent) than they did from the field (40.7 percent) and used that deep shooting to rally at the half and come away with a win.

A high-powered offense fueled by passing and 3-point shooting has always been what the Hawks live and die by, and that continued Saturday.

Kyle Korver had his way with the Knicks’ defense, shooting 6-9 from behind the arc en route to his team-leading 27-point game.

In the second matchup with the Knicks tonight, look for Dennis Schroder off of the bench to see if he is truly starting to emerge as a legitimate NBA point guard. A follow-up performance from Saturday’s 11-point, 5-steal game will likely only boost the high confidence he’s got going right now.
