Georgia Tech vs. Florida State: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream and More
By Brad Rowland
Hello, Charlotte! Paul Johnson and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets invade the Queen City for the ACC Championship Game on Saturday evening, and awaiting them on the field will be Jameis Winston, Jimbo Fisher and the undefeated Florida State Seminoles. By now, you probably know that the Seminoles enter this game riding the nation’s longest winning streak while doubling as the reigning national champions, but Florida State has not nearly been the dominant force that they proved to be a year ago, and that provides some real optimism on the side of the Ramblin’ Wreck in this match-up.
As of the time of this particular post, Georgia Tech listed as a 4-point underdog in this game, and while that may be a surprise to some given the neutral venue and the mythical nature of the FSU winning streak, the “sharp guys” appear to be moving away from the ‘Noles and toward the Yellow Jackets. Florida State is the more talented team from top to bottom, and that should not come as a surprise, but because of the dynamic nature of Georgia Tech’s option-style offense, there is a belief mounting that the Seminoles could be neutralized here.
In our full preview from earlier in the week, we broke down the contest from every conceivable angle, but in short, I believe this is a spot where Georgia Tech could easily emerge with a win if things break in the ideal way. Florida State will not go quietly into the night, and they have proven this over two seasons, but if Justin Thomas, Zach Laskey and the offense get rolling, it could be a memorable evening in Charlotte.
