Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream and More
By Brad Rowland
The NFC South title is up for grabs on Sunday afternoon in the Georgia Dome, and that simple fact illustrates the immense stakes on the table. The Atlanta Falcons play host to the Carolina Panthers in a battle of six-win teams, but this is anything but typical, and both teams are soundly out-playing their records at this point in the season. Regardless, there is always a high level of intensity when these two teams square off, and there should be a bit of extra emphasis this time around in Week 17.
While the line could certainly move before kick-off, the leading odds-makers (both in Vegas and off-shore) have installed the Falcons as between a 3 and 3.5-point favorite favorite in this game, and that appears to illustrate the wide-ranging view that these are two very similar teams with Atlanta holding a solid advantage on the basis of the friendly venue. However, Carolina is more than capable of playing a lights-out game (as covered in our full preview from earlier in the week), and that should instill a bit of fear in the hearts of the hometown faithful in Atlanta. To be quite honest and clear, the Atlanta Falcons should win this game if they perform the way that Mike Smith and his team are capable of performing, but until the two teams hit the field, talk seems cheap.
