Today, we got to take a look at the 2015 football schedule for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets–along with all of the other ACC schools. For Paul Johnson’s defending Coastal Champions, that means games in South Bend, Clemson and Miami along with some quality teams visiting Atlanta.

Here’s the full schedule:

  • Sept. 3 (Thu.) Alcorn State Atlanta, Ga.
  • Sept. 12 Tulane Atlanta, Ga.
  • Sept. 19 at Notre Dame South Bend, Ind.
  • Sept. 26 at Duke Durham, N.C.
  • Oct. 3 North Carolina Atlanta, Ga.
  • Oct. 10 at Clemson Clemson, S.C.
  • Oct. 17 Pitt Atlanta, Ga.
  • Oct. 24 Florida State Atlanta, Ga.
  • Oct. 31 at Virginia Charlottesville, Va.
  • Nov. 12 (Thu.) Virginia Tech Atlanta, Ga.
  • Nov. 21 at Miami Miami Gardens, Fla.
  • Nov. 28 Georgia Atlanta, Ga.

According to Georgia Tech’s official website–the post linked above will take you there–the first nine opponents the team will face next season played in bowl games last year, which is the second-most of the conference.

Yes, apparently Alcorn State is a bowl-caliber college football team. The Braves come from the SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) and lost just three games last season–against some inferior competition sure, but a three-loss season is certainly respectable.

After Alcorn State and Tulane things get real for the Yellow Jackets fast. Notre Dame on the road, Duke on the road, UNC at home and Clemson on the road is a challenge for any team in the ACC. Pitt should be better next season, and even with Jameis Winston entering the NFL, the Florida State Seminoles will be the best team in the conference.

Rounding the schedule out are the teams from Virginia away and then at home, a trip to Miami–who is always a threat to contend in the Coastal–and the regular season will wrap up with another rivalry game with the Georgia Bulldogs–this year it’ll be in Atlanta.
