Georgia Bulldogs vs. Texas A&M Aggies preview: College Station beckons
By Brad Rowland
Saturday’s contest against the Tennessee Volunteers netted the Georgia Bulldogs a much-needed home victory, but the journey is not an easy one for Mark Fox and his club. The Dawgs travel to College Station on Wednesday for a tough road test against the Texas A&M Aggies, and the home team in this particular match-up is playing quality basketball.

Texas A&M has won seven of their last eight games to improve to 16-6 overall on the season, and the Aggies have been a pleasant surprise for the SEC this season. With that on the table, our close, personal friends at KenPom.com have made the Georgia Bulldogs a 3-point underdog on the road, and with that, this certainly isn’t a game that the Dawgs are “expected” to win in a hostile environment.
On the bright side, Georgia is now operating at nearly full strength after the return of Marcus Thornton, and from a talent perspective, A&M does not provide an overly intimidating task for the Bulldogs. Still, this is one of those “toss-up” games that become crucial when attempting to establish an NCAA Tournament resume, and while the Dawgs appear to be clearly in the field right now, another quality road win would undoubtedly help their position.
