Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide preview: Seize the Momentum
By Brad Rowland
Just one week ago, it looked as if the Georgia Bulldogs would cruise into the NCAA Tournament field with the potential for a solid seed. Now, the Dawgs have their backs against the wall on the heels of back-to-back defeats, and UGA is in desperate need of a victory as they travel to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday evening.

Our friends at KenPom.com have installed the Georgia Bulldogs as 3-point underdogs in the contest (with both Las Vegas and off-shore outlets following suit in that area). On the surface, that indicates a “toss-up” match-up given that Alabama has home-court advantage, but Georgia certainly needs to stop this backslide in order to stabilize its case for the selection committee.
Injuries have taken their toll on the core of the UGA roster, but late February is not the time for excuse making. Mark Fox’s club needs a win and they need it now, and all eyes will be on this particular match-up.
