ATL All Day Editorial Note: If you haven’t heard the name Tanner Murphy when it comes to Atlanta Braves’ baseball, perk up your ears! Braves’ MLB reporter Mark Bowman shares some thoughts about Tanner.

Youngster Murphy impressing behind the plate

"… But this year, Perez is truly going out on a limb as he is heralding 20-year-old catcher Tanner Murphy as his player to watch during Spring Training. Given that Murphy has totaled just 82 professional games and not played a single inning above the Rookie Level, he likely will need to wait a few more years to reach the Major League level."

Tomahawk Take

ATL All Day Editorial Note: One of my many alma maters, the folks over at Tomahawk Take shared a story and video of Jonny Gomes taking batting practice. Check out their article.

Atlanta Braves Jonny Gomes Taking BP (VIDEO)

"The 2014 Atlanta Braves outfield looked like this  – Gold Glover Jason Heyward, Silver Slugger Justin Upton and B.J. Upton.  2015, an all new look.We talked about the center field position this morning.  Nick Markakis will be the Braves starting right fielder when he fully recovers from his neck surgery.  And the left field spot is still TBD.  Actually as we sit here on March 1st, every position is TBD except first base, shortstop, and third…unless Christan Bethancourt has an awful Spring Training and proves he isn’t ready or capable of the catcher job."

NFL Spin Zone

ATL All Day Editorial Note: Nick Ziegler of another of our sister sites on the FanSided Network, NFL Spin Zone, shares his thoughts on how the Falcons are likely to have a very different running game in 2015.

Atlanta Falcons: A very different running game in 2015

"The Atlanta Falcons are currently going through a lot of change over this offseason. With a new coaching staff led by head coach Dan Quinn, personnel is being evaluated. As the cap casualties continue around the NFL, the Falcons are one of the teams that has been doing some house cleaning."

NFL Mocks

ATL All Day Editorial Note: FanSided always has you covered, and Charles McDonald of FanSided’s NFL Mocks shares his thoughts on how TE Jordan Cameron could be a target of the Atlanta Falcons.

TE Jordan Cameron Free Agency Fits: Falcons, Broncos, Seahawks

"Free agent tight end Jordan Cameron has been one of the few bright spots for a sluggish Browns offense over the last couple of seasons. The Browns are going through turbulent times as an organization and Cameron has no interest in returning to the dysfunction in Cleveland, making him once of Free Agency’s top targets."
