At Atlanta All Day we are going to strive to bring you as much Atlanta, and Georgia, sports news as you can handle. There’s a lot to cover, so we’ll do our best to get as much of the need to know info packing into these news blasts each morning. Let’s get started today..

Hawks reach 60 wins!

The Hawks reached the great accomplishment of 60 wins on the year Friday night beating the Charlotte Hornets. They were 1-2 against the Hornets this year so that was a nice victory to even the season series (odd they’ve beat the Hawks twice but oh well).

It was only the 4th time in NBA history a team reached 60 wins after having a losing record the previous season. Obviously it’s the first time the Hawks have reached 60 (since they broke the franchise record with 58 earlier in the week), but they are the 71st team in NBA history to reach said plateau.

Braves start off 4-0

Wow- can you believe this start? Sure, it’s early but the Bravos are one of just four teams in MLB to be 4-0. It was great to see the Atlanta faithful cheering so loudly for a bunch of players they didn’t know, in what’s roundly considered a rebuilding year. It will be interesting to see how things continue to play out.

Phil Gosslin was the hero with with a bases loaded single in the 8th inning. Jason Grilli picked up his 3rd save of the young season.

Jordan Spieth (who?) has a FIVE stroke lead at -14 after the first two rounds.
