2010 vs. Bucks and Magic

The 2010 season was Mike Woodson’s last as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. He built upon the previous season’s win total yet again with 53, and that got them the #3 seed, but the team looked mediocre at best in the playoffs.

In a first round match-up with Milwaukee that should have been over in no more than five games, it took seven. After dropping Game 4 on the road the Hawks came back home to lose and go down 3-2. It was infuriating to watch, however, they did rebound to win the final two games and take the series.

But it was a sign of things to come in Round 2. Against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic the Hawks bombed. Worse than the previous year against the Cavs. Josh Smith was atrocious and the team didn’t look like they cared that much…which led to Woodson’s firing.
