4. Receiving Corps Looks to Utilize Speed.
Georgia experienced a great deal of change this offseason with their receiving corps. Key possession receivers Chris Conley and Michael Bennett have graduated and look to continue their careers professionally. Longtime WRs coach Tony Ball has left the program to take the same position with the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge. Recruiting Coordinator and former UGA RBs coach Bryan McClendon will now assume the role vacated by Ball.

Coach Schottenheimer looks to slightly modify Bobo’s passing game, not disregard it entirely, to counterbalance the amount of turnover in UGA’s Wide Receiver Room. According to Coach Richt, many of the receivers on the roster have breakaway speed. (11:06-11:20). Malcolm Mitchell, Justin Scott-Wesley, and Isaiah McKenzie can all fly when healthy. There are plenty of catches available in this offense following Conley and Bennett’s departure. Expect Junior flankers Blake Tibbs, Kenneth Towns, Sophomore Shakenneth Williams, and incoming freshman Terry Godwin, Michael Chigbu, and Jayson Stanley to compete for playing time this summer.
