5. The Dawgs Will Continue to Have an Elite Rushing Attack.
The running game has long been a staple for UGA football and expect the 2015 season to continue that trend. Georgia boasts a preseason Heisman candidate RB in sophomore Nick Chubb. Chubb isn’t the only former five-star running back on UGA’s roster as fellow sophomore Sony Michel and injury-plagued senior Keith Marshall were Top 25 Recruits coming out of high school. Junior Brendan Douglas has played well in his first two seasons Between the Hedges and Redshirt Sophomore AJ Turman turned heads this spring with an impressive 2015 G-Day.
Even though Todd Gurley left for the NFL a year early, new RBs coach Thomas Brown still has arguably the deepest running back corps in college football. Returning to coach at his alma mater, Brown brings with him an impressive resume, having already coached a Heisman Finalist last season at Wisconsin in RB Melvin Gordon III. The bevy of running backs at Georgia’s disposal should excite even the most casual Dawgs fan for a promising 2015 campaign.
