3. Houston Texans

Houston could use their 16th overall selection to pair Todd Gurley with Pro Bowl RB Arian Foster in the Texans backfield.  The Texans have serious playoff aspirations in 2015, anchored by DE JJ Watt on the defensive side of the ball.  Second year HC Bill O’Brien may want to add an offensive weapon like Gurley to make up for losing WR André Johnson to the rival Colts in free agency.

There are two reasons why this situation is slightly better for Todd than in Miami.  He doesn’t have to take on the bulk of the workload immediately for the Texans as Arian Foster and Alfred Blue are better than anyone in Miami’s RB corps.  This bodes well for Gurley as he recovers from a torn ACL.  Houston also plays lowly Jacksonville and Tennessee twice annually.  If the Texans are able to defeat Indianapolis at home this year, a 5-1 record in the AFC South better positions Todd Gurley to make the playoffs in his rookie season.
