2013: CB Robert Alford, Southeastern Louisiana (60th Overall)

Coming from a small school in Louisiana, Robert Alford came out of nowhere as the 60th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. He plays with passion and earned a starting spot at CB his rookie season. Alford along with Desmond Trufant can benefit from playing in a speed-driven defense as both CB’s can absolutely fly. My only concern for Alford is that will he be big enough (5’10”, 186lbs.) to play with the physicality needed in a Dan Quinn secondary? Hopefully size isn’t an issue here for the promising young Falcons cornerback.
