4. Dale Murphy

Dale Murphy was the 5th overall pick in the 1974 MLB Draft. He went on to have a highly successful career with the Braves that including two MVP awards.

For about 15 years, and in particular the 1980s, Dale Murphy was the Atlanta Braves. He was a seven time all-star and five time gold glove winner in the outfield. He only played on one playoff team (1982) so his career was ultimately hurt by that, but his number is retired at Turner Field and he’s undoubtedly a Braves legend.

3. Matt Ryan

The Falcons needed a quarterback after Michael Vick went to prison, so they took Matt Ryan with the 3rd overall pick in 2008. He began winning right out of the gate, setting records for most wins in his first few years as a starting quarterback.

Ryan has been to three pro bowls and guided the Falcons to four playoff appearances including two division championships. No Falcons quarterback has ever been as successful or as prolific of a passer as Matt Ryan.
