AFC South Games (4 Apiece)
The Indianapolis Colts have dominated the AFC South for much of its existence. Houston has won the division twice in recent years. Jacksonville and Tennessee are in the process of rebuilding. The Colts played in the AFC Championship game last year. When you make it to a conference finals, it validates that you are a championship contender. Andrew Luck is a rising star in the NFL. I really don’t want to play the Colts.
I don’t think any NFC South team takes down Indianapolis this fall. Atlanta goes 2-2 as Matt Ryan can’t escape JJ Watt and the Texans pass rush. Carolina, New Orleans, and Tampa Bay all beat Jacksonville and Tennessee but they all ultimately fall to the Houston Texans, just like Atlanta. Of the 14 games between common opponents in the NFC South, I don’t feel entirely confident in how the Souths will play out. Houston could go 4-0 or 1-3. Jacksonville and Tennessee may not get shut out by the NFC South. Take this projection between the Souths with a grain of salt. It’s only mid-May.
