I really think that Dominick Sanders will go down as one of the best UGA defensive backs of all time with the likes of Champ Bailey and Scott Woerner when it’s all said and done. Sanders was the first player recruited by DC/Secondary Coach Jeremy Pruitt when he took over the Dawgs defense two winters ago.

As a freshman, Dominick was a big-time player maker out of the Bulldogs’ defensive backfield with 3 interceptions for 64 yards and 5 passes defended. He even took a fumble recovery to the house, all as a late-signing true freshman.
Coming out of high school, Sanders was only a three-star recruit, just like RB Todd Gurley. How Dominick Sanders commanded attention and playing time as a true freshman in the Dawgs’ secondary bodes well for his tenure in Athens. I can sense that his ballhawking skills will translate well to whatever position he ends up playing for Pruitt: either safety spot, the star position, nickelback, etc.
The ceiling is extremely high for Dominick Sanders and I think he shines the brightest of any star in an improving defensive backfield for Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs. It wouldn’t shock me to see Sanders with 8 picks, 2 going for touchdowns, and 10 passes defended as a true sophomore playing for UGA this fall.
