Atlanta Braves’ Tryout Camps: Pursue Your Dreams!
Whether you’re an Atlanta Braves‘ baseball fan or not, almost every adult baseball fan has at one time or another dreamed of playing in the bigs. You might not have had a prayer, but you could still dream! Dreams and baseball have a storied relationship!

Even if like me, your dreams and chances have passed you by, many of you out there are hungry. You may still be young, in great shape, and may still have dreams of somehow making it into the major league baseball. Heck, you could even be a part of the Atlanta Braves’ organization someday!

These kinds of dreams have led to great players, memorable moments, and even nostalgic movies that remind us of the romanticism and history of this great game.
Perhaps you just didn’t get noticed. Maybe you were injured at the time your chance came around, or maybe you live in a small town where no scout was around to appreciate that special magic you had.
If that latter characterization fits you (as well as some other criteria below), then you might be interested to know that the Atlanta Braves will be having a tryout camp on June 29th in Phenix City, AL. at the Chattahoochee Valley’s Howard Lake Field.

I mention that location only because it’s somewhat local and very close to Braves’ Country. We all know that Braves’ fans are EVERYWHERE!
So even if you are not in Georgia, Alabama, etc., I’ll provide the link below to all the tryouts. Perhaps one will happen in a city near you!
Atlanta Braves – Criteria For Tryout
- Must be between 16 and 23 years of age
- You must bring your gloves and shoes (Camps will provide bats and balls)
- For American Legion baseball participants, a letter of permission from your post commander must be presented to the scout prior to your participation in the tryout camp.
- There is also a waiver of liability form you must download and sign to be able to participate.

When: Monday June 29th, 9:00 AM
Where: Chattahoochee Valley CC – Howard Lake Field – 2602 College Dr., Phenix City, AL. 36869.
Local Scout: Braves’ scout Hugh Buchanan will be on hand to see you play.
Final Thoughts
Good luck to any fans that follow your dreams! I played baseball all my life, but injuries and other issues curbed my dreams early. It may not be too late for you. If you have the chops, go for it! We might see you in the minors, or even the Big Show someday!
