44. . Quarterback. Boston College. Matt Ryan. 1. player

It all begins and ends with our franchise quarterback Matt Ryan.  Ryan has been to three Pro Bowls and has led the Atlanta Falcons to the playoffs four times in his seven seasons with the team.  Matt delivers one of the most catchable balls in the NFL with his completion percentage usually in the high-60’s.  Only Peyton Manning seems to have a better grasp of the hurry-up offense as the team’s floor general.  Matt Ryan is a Top 10 NFL QB that would thrive in any offensive system.

  • While he was mostly a game manager his first three seasons with the Falcons, mostly handing the ball off to All-Pro RB Michael Turner and converting on third down passes to Roddy White, Ryan developed into a legitimate vertical passer under former OC Dirk Koetter.  Matt Ryan has thrown for over 4,000 yards in the last four NFL seasons.

Though the Atlanta Falcons will likely not throw as much in 2015 under new OC Kyle Shanahan, Ryan will still throw for a high percentage and nearly 30 touchdowns this year.  There are very few quarterbacks that are as cerebral as Matt Ryan.  With an improved running game, Ryan will actually get opposing linebackers to bite on his play-action pass attempts.  He might even run a few bootlegs for Shanahan this fall.

At this stage of his NFL career, Matt Ryan is an established Pro Bowl passer for a team on the rise in 2015.  If Matt can lead the Falcons to victory with six game-winning drives of his own creation, Atlanta could certainly find itself back in the playoff mix as either a Wild Card team or the Champions of the NFC South.
