The Atlanta Falcons begin training camp in Flowery Branch in the next couple of weeks, welcoming both new players and a new coaching staff.

Last season the NFC South was the weakest division in the NFL, with the division champion Carolina Panthers only achieving a 7-9 record on the season. The Panthers were also the first team in NFC South history to repeat as division champions in 2014.

As the 2015 season approaches, the landscape of the division has not changed drastically, save for the litany of alterations the Atlanta Falcons have experienced. The Falcons and Saints rivalry is as heated as ever, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a new quarterback at the helm the offense, Cam Newton and the Panthers will look to make 2015 a three-peat in the division, and Ron Rivera is still on the hot-seat and will attempt to save his job with a winning season and potential playoff berth.

The offenses of all 4 teams look solid. Jameis Winston and a young Bucs team will be stronger than they have been in years past, Sean Payton‘s New Orléans Saints still have Drew Brees and a potent offense despite the loss of Pro-Bowl Tight End Jimmy Graham, and the Atlanta Falcons return with their venerable quarterback Matt Ryan and perhaps the most star-studded receiving core in the league.

Though there is still uncertainty surrounding Julio Jones‘s potential contract extension, the Falcons own the easiest schedule in the NFL. An easy schedule doesn’t necessarily spell success for the Falcons, as in the NFL, any team can win on any given Sunday. With divisional competition certain to increase this season, the Atlanta Falcons still face a challenge if they wish to return to the postseason in 2015.

Let’s take a look at how all the teams in the NFC South stack up before training camp begins at the end of July.
