Quarterback and ACC Player of the Year candidate Justin Thomas returns to the Flats to lead Paul Johnson’s vaunted triple-option offense for his junior year. On the defensive end, the biggest blow of the offseason was the departure of star guard Shaquille Mason for the NFL. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets’ defense was not spectacular in 2014, but forced 29 turnovers in order to make up for any shortcomings. Ted Roof’s defense must make stops to help the offense be effective and to eat up the clock.

The Ramblin’ Wreck was 2nd in the NCAA last season with 342.1 rushing yards per game and was 12th in the NCAA with 37.9 points scored per game. Paul Johnson’s offense is primed for another offensive onslaught in 2015, which will help the Jackets in their quest to secure their second consecutive division title.
