1 – Jeff Teague, 2 – Kyle Korver, 3 – Thabo Sefolosha, 4 – Paul Millsap, 5 – Al Horford

This particular lineup will most likely be the Atlanta Hawks starting 5 to begin the season if Thabo Sefolosha is at full strength following an injury suffered in an altercation with the NYPD in April. Sefolosha was DeMarre Carroll‘s primary backup at the wing last season, and his defensive skill-set is vital to the Hawks on the defensive end.

Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver will remain together to form one of the top back-courts in the NBA. With the return of Paul Millsap to the Atlanta Hawks after signing a 3 year deal with the team in July, along with Al Horford, the Atlanta Hawks can continue to space the floor, leveraging Horford and Millsap’s jump shooting ability to pull opposing bigs away from the basket. That also creates a lane for Teague to drive to the basket.

This lineup is a swiss-army knife for Head Coach Mike Budenholzer. He has shooters on the floor, an aggressive guard driving to the basket, and will be sound on the defensive end. The Hawks’ bigs will continue to space the floor, creating mismatches on offense.
