5- Tiago Splitter

There are times when the Atlanta Hawks will need to buckle down on defense. Putting Kent Bazemore at the Point Guard position will not benefit the Hawks’ offense in any way, but Bazemore’s athleticism will allow him to create a defensive mismatch against smaller guards.

Thabo Sefolosha can shift down to the Shooting Guard position to provide more size and defense. The front-court of Splitter, Horford, and Millsap provide size and rebounding for the Atlanta Hawks when they are trying to limit an opponent from scoring.

The offense in this lineup will be generated primarily from the front-court, with Horford and Millsap having the offense work through them. Their size and ability to space will not diminish in this defensive minded set, and will provide the Hawks with a very different look on the court.

Of course Mike Budenholzer will undoubtedly use many more combinations that was has been outlined here, but these are 4 lineups to keep an eye out for as an Atlanta Hawks fan in 2016.
