Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch Vs. Dolphins
By John Buhler
The Atlanta Falcons will travel to Sun Life Stadium to take on the AFC East’s Miami Dolphins in a Preseason Week 3 showdown. Both teams have talented quarterbacks in Matt Ryan for the Falcons and Ryan Tannehill for the Dolphins. The pair of teams are looking to get back into the Playoffs after missing them the last couple of years.
Preseason Week 3 is by far and away the most exciting of the four preseason games. This is because head coaches often treat the third preseason game as a glorified dress rehearsal, meaning that the starters will play at least into latter part of the second quarter. For two teams on the rise in 2015, it should have the makings on an exciting exhibition game on Saturday night in Miami.

Atlanta looks completely different in the front seven of their defense. The Atlanta Falcons’ pass rush was a major factor against two decent offensive lines in the first two preseason games against the Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets. Matt Ryan seems to have complete command of the new offensive system set in place by new OC Kyle Shanahan.

Dan Quinn has brought in a new coaching philosophy geared towards winning the turnover differential and getting his players to play as fast, physical, and free as they can every snap. The culture change in the locker room seems obvious, but going against a strong contending team like the Miami Dolphins will be a real test to see where the Atlanta Falcons are heading into the regular season.
The running game has been non-existent due to hamstring injuries, the offensive line is still in flux as to who the starting five will become, and the secondary is not as deep as we initially thought. Preseason Week 3 is a clear separation game where starting jobs and roster spots are starting to reveal themselves. In tomorrow night’s game against the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons fans should keep an eye on these five players.
