Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch Vs. Ravens
By John Buhler
Last week against the Miami Dolphins, Rookie RB Tevin Coleman made his NFL/Atlanta Falcons debut. Though he only had 4 carries for 2 yards, I thought it was a good showing from Coleman, strictly because he came out of Preseason Week 3 unscathed with a bit of NFL playing experience under his belt.
Coleman, Atlanta’s 3rd round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, missed the first two preseason games due to a lingering hamstring injury. The same type of injury has kept fellow tailbacks Devonta Freeman and Antone Smith out of all but one combined game this preseason.

With the Atlanta Falcons’ running game arguably the biggest concern on the roster heading into the last several days before Week 1, expect Tevin Coleman to get more than four carries tomorrow night against the Baltimore Ravens.
Though Terron Ward and Jerome Smith have done an admirable job filling in for the injured running backs, a couple of nice runs from Coleman will bring a sense of comfort with the Atlanta Falcons rushing attack that has long been absent.
The jitters are still probably in his system, so it is in Dan Quinn’s best interest to get Tevin Coleman comfortable as a featured back for the Atlanta Falcons, assuming that Devonta Freeman can’t go in Week 1 due to the hamstring injury. I think Tevin Coleman gets 10 carries tomorrow night, hopefully close to a 4.5 YPC average against the always good defense of the Baltimore Ravens.
