The Pride of Cedartown is now the Big Man on Campus for the Georgia Bulldogs.  After rushing for over 1,500 yards last season as a true freshman, Dawg Nation expects big things from UGA’s star tailback.

Taking over out of necessity for the suspended Todd Gurley would have been too much pressure for most true freshman in the SEC, but Nick Chubb thrived in the final eight games of 2014 as the Dawgs’ starting tailback.  Many pundits believe that Nick Chubb is a serious contender for the 2015 Heisman Trophy and could very well end up an All-American should he have similar success this season.

More from UGA Football

Expect Nick Chubb to get a handful of carries on offense against ULM, but not the most.  Mark Richt has an insanely deep stable of running backs to choose from and would prefer that his best player stay healthy entering the bulk of their schedule.

However, I do expect Nick to make at least a pair of ridiculous 20+  yard runs and a score before being relegated to the sidelines in favor of lower backs on the UGA totem pole.  Will Nick again pull off a miraculous run in the season opener like he did against Clemson, sans shoe?  Or will he again rush for over 200 yards on less than 10 carries like he did last fall against Charleston Southern?

For Nick Chubb to start his 2015 Heisman Campaign on the right track, look for him to electrify Dawg Nation and the College Football World At-Large at least twice Saturday afternoon.  Run, Nick, run!
