Malcolm Mitchell enters 2015 as the undisputed leader of the UGA WR corps.  Mitchell, a RS Senior, has suffered from a myriad debilitating injuries thus far in his four years with the Dawgs.  Known for his ability to stretch the field vertically, Mitchell is one of the best deep receiving threats in the SEC when healthy.

Mitchell was one of nine Georgia Bulldogs named to the All-SEC Coaches Teams this preseason and expects to lead a young bunch of wideouts this fall.  After losing both Michael Bennett and Chris Conley to the NFL, it is now Malcolm Mitchell’s turn to prove that he is a reliable pass catcher.

While there are young wideouts like Shakenneth Williams, Terry Godwin, and Isaiah McKenzie that can become great players for the Dawgs on the outside, Georgia needs Malcolm Mitchell to make big plays for them in his RS Senior season.

To me, he’s not the possession receiver that either Bennett or Conley were, but Mitchell’s raw talent should allow him to play well for the Dawgs this fall.  Hopefully he can come down with a handful of great grabs against ULM and prove that he is one of the Top 4 wideouts in the SEC this season.

We are inside of 48 hours until it is finally Football Season.  When the clock inside Sanford Stadium strikes zero and The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” blasts Between the Hedges, then it’s time.  Go Dawgs!
