The Atlanta Braves are out of contention this year, so we look forward to the 2015-2016 offseason and reflect on potential players on the roster who could be termed “trade bait.”

The Atlanta Braves have fallen off the map over the last month, going 1-19 over their last 20 games while being outscored by 100 runs during the process. With that being said, the Braves will be looking to move some pieces over the offseason to continue the rebuilding process.

The Braves have become the laughing stock of baseball and are quite arguably the worst team in league, previously held by the Philadelphia Phillies. Although the Phillies are two games back of the Braves for the worst record in baseball, it is no secret that the Braves have been horrid, winning only two road games since July 7th.

In addition to only winning two games since July 7th, the Braves last 20 games have been a sore sight. By going 1-19 with a -100 run differential, they are only the second team since 1900 to accomplish such a feat (if you want to say that is an accomplishment), with the 1939 A’s being the other team.

The Atlanta Braves have been gaudy lately and deserve harsh criticism, especially with Hart stating that the team should continue to be a contender along the way, including 2015. The Braves are far from a contender and should shift their focus to the 2015-2016 offseason.

John Hart has made it no secret that the team is in a rebuilding process. During the 2014-2015 offseason, Hart acquired a slew of young talent; however, he also acquired several players who do not fit the rebuilding mold. It should come to no one’s surprise that more moves could be on the horizon for the Atlanta Braves.

With Hart continuing to build a team for 2017, Braves’ fans can expect to see more moves this offseason; however, they may not be as big-name as last offseason. Still, by trading their current talent for future talent, the Atlanta Braves could very-likely see another season of poor performances ahead. With the rebuild process obvious, who could we see traded this offseason?
