Atlanta Braves vs. Boston Red Sox

  • April 25th-April 26th – Turner Field
  • April 27th-April 28th – Fenway Park

Wait…I thought the Atlanta Braves were paired with the NL Central in Interleague play next season? In a weird twist, the Atlanta Braves will face off against the Boston Red Sox in an early season home and away series. Because of the Braves history in Boston, the Red Sox have been designated as their yearly AL Rival, similarily to how UGA faces Auburn in the SEC West or Georgia Tech faces Clemson in the ACC Atlantic Division every season.

Though the Red Sox were not a good team this season, their front-office always spends a lot of money to field a good team. With John Farrell recovering from chemotherapy following a leukemia diagnosis, he should hopefully be back in the dugout with a better team in 2016. The Red Sox always draw a good crowd a Turner Field, so hopefully the Atlanta Braves will be playing well to offset the throng of Bostonians in downtown Atlanta.
