In all honesty, I could put Leonard Floyd as one of the five players to watch on the Georgia Bulldogs’ defense every week.  However, I expect that he will have a monster game versus the Vanderbilt Commodores.  He will have a Urlacherian performance, I can feel it.

Something is telling me that he could get SEC Defensive Player of the Week Honors for his all-around impressive performance against VU.  Whether he’s at OLB, DE, STAR, or ILB, expect Leonard Floyd to showcase his defensive prowess as the most athletic player on the field Saturday afternoon.

I hope I’m not crazy, but I can envision Leonard Floyd forcing 2.5 sacks at OLB/DE and recording an interception at ILB/STAR in Week 2.  Throw in around 5 tackles or so and that’s one strong ball game for the UGA pass rusher.  Even if Leonard Floyd falls short of any of those lofty goals, no doubt will he effect the game when he’s on the field.

He’s the one guy on defense the opposition must account for.  They have to know where he is on the field before every snap.  Through his obvious versatility, Floyd allows his other defensive teammates opportunities to get on the field and make plays.  Regardless of stats, he’s the most dangerous person on the Georgia Bulldogs defense in this game.
