Sixth Year Senior RT Kolton Houston is often the most overlooked member of the Georgia Bulldogs offensive line. LT John Theus and RG Greg Pyke made Preseason All-SEC Coaches Teams, C Brandon Kublanow won the starting center gig in spring ball, and LG Isaiah Wynn has shown the ability to play all five positions on the UGA offensive line as only a sophomore.
But let’s not sleep on Kolton, because he and Pyke form a very seasoned, strong right side of the offensive line. In the Week 1 opener, I didn’t see any issues whatsoever coming from Houston or Pyke on the right side.

I feel that is because this is Kolton Houston’s sixth season in the UGA system. He had to miss the first three years of college ball due to a lingering positive test of steroids in his system. A doctor injected him with a foreign substance back in high school, that Houston and his family were unaware of until it prevented him from playing on Fall Saturdays for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Getting that sixth year of eligibility is a testament to Kolton Houston’s patience and determination to fight through embarrassing positive tests. I see UGA looking to run off tackle a lot on Saturday and Kolton Houston will provide the necessary run blocking to get the Dawgs into the end zone on multiple occasions.
