I feel like one of the best ways to slow down Chip Kelly’s Eagles’ offense is to make Philadelphia work for their points by putting them in bad field position.  Fortunately for the Atlanta Falcons, their punter Matt Bosher is coming off a very strong preseason.

Bosher has been with the Falcons for a while now, but I think he’s putting it all together in 2015.  His kicks in the 2015 Preseason were fantastic, with great distance and hangtime.  Atlanta has great depth on special teams and looked very strong in punt return coverage.

Atlanta benefits in Week 1 playing in the Georgia Dome, as the Falcons rarely have special teams miscues on their home turf.  The wind and weather conditions will obviously not factor into Matt Bosher’s performance on Monday Night Football.

Even if the Atlanta Falcons are unable to move the chains easily on offense in this game, I think that this year’s Falcons team can survive not having to win shootouts.  This is because the defense looked improved in the pass rush, tackling, and on third down.  If you add in a punter that can often force the opposition to start inside their own 20, you have to like the defense’s chances to force a punt from the Philly offense.

Field position seems like an important part of this game.  I’ve said that the special teams is an area of strength for the 2015 Atlanta Falcons.  Look for Keith Armstrong’s unit to have a solid performance against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night.
