DEPTH AT A-BACK AND B-BACK
B-back Marcus Marshall was unable to replicate his remarkable numbers against Tulane on Saturday — but not to worry, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets possess the depth at B-back to use different players based on how a defense is playing. Though the Freshman B-back rushed for 184 yards and two scores against the Alcorn State Braves last week, the Tulane defense made it a point to clog the running lanes, preventing Marshall from finding seams.

Because of the Tulane defense’s decision to take away the dive, Paul Johnson decided to utilize the larger and more physical Patrick Skov to pound the Green Wave front-line. Head Coach Paul Johnson also utilized his A-backs on Saturday, as Freshman Clinton Lynch, Isaih Willis, Taquon Marshall and Broderick Snoddy were all utilized.
B-back Marcus Allen returned from an ankle injury he suffered in Week 1, and rushed for a 17 yard touchdown run. On any given Saturday, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have the personnel to have an effective rushing attack, no matter where it comes from.
