OFFENSIVE LINE MUST IMPROVE
With the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets beginning to face a difficult period in their schedule, the offense must be clicking on all cylinders. One glaring weakness that was apparent against Tulane was the play of the offensive line.
The Tulane defense focused on eliminated any seams for players like Marcus Marshall, and gave the offensive line difficulty in the first half of Saturday’s game. Head Coach Paul Johnson also echoed this observation, stating that the O-Line was unable to keep the Tulane linebackers from his ball carriers.
Though the offensive line’s play improved in the second half with improved lanes on the outside, it is of the utmost importance that their blocking improves as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face a talented linebacker corps in Notre Dame next week.
