Jake Ganus will play his second game Between the Hedges on Saturday when the South Carolina Gamecocks come to town. The UAB transfer has already made an impact at inside linebacker for the Dawgs. His awareness to rally in that interception against Vanderbilt proves that he can play at a high level in the SEC.

Dawg Nation is 100% behind Jake in his senior season, as his former team’s football program ceased operations temporarily thanks to the University of Alabama school system. Jake plays for two teams now: The Georgia Bulldogs and in spirit the UAB Blazers. Every game he plays for the Dawgs is an inspired performance and he is becoming a fan favorite on the 2015 Georgia Bulldogs’ defense.

We had questions about how the Dawgs would handle losing both Amarlo Herrera and Ramik Wilson at ILB, but veterans like Jake Ganus have allowed the UGA defense to look better than it has in years at the start of 2015.

In Week 3 versus the South Carolina Gamecocks, I think that Ganus will limit USC RB Brandon Wilds to under 100 yards on the ground and force USC into many 3rd and long situations. I see Jake lead the front seven this week as UGA keeps the Gamecocks under 250 yards of total offense in this rivalry game.
